D --> It is a truly depressing day. I have spent weeks researching and tracking the Centaurs of the Forbidden Forest. I went to great lengths to ensure that my little adventure would not result in punishment from the faculty. I braved the possibility of mortal danger, I risked life and limb, and for what?

To have my face spat upon both figuratively and literally by the very centaurs I sought. It was truly humiliating. I feel like the world's biggest fool.

I need a towel.

D --> I did indeed. It is not as difficult as one might expect. Pull a few strings, practice some stealth, and the Forest is an open door.

I will not let this setback hinder me for long. The centaurs will learn that I am STRONG and worthy of their presence.

D --> I am rather accustomed to the amount of sweat I am currently dealing with. It is nothing out of the ordinary, and I have worked through worse. The towel would just make this infuriating day a little better.

So yes, it did, in the same way that a paper cut or a stubbed toe does not hinder your ability to move on with your life.
