So you want to learn about Arithmancy? You probably all signed up thinking that you're too stupid to take Ancient Runes, so why not try Arithmancy? You're thinking this is going to be a "bird course". That it's just math with a fancy name.

WELL YOU'RE WRONG.

This is a class is going to be just as challenging as Ancient Runes if not more so and if you're expecting anything less, drop now and never defile my classroom with your ignorance again.

However, if you are planning to stay, congratulations! By next class, I'll expect you to have read the first two chapters of your textbook. I'll also expect a ten inch essay on why you think you have what it takes to master the art of NUMERICAL MAGIC.

Has anyone seen my crossword puzzles. I left them on my bed this morning and now they're gone. I am painfully aware plenty of you in my dorm have sticky fingers but I can assure you that they are little use to you and I use them as a stress reliever. I know you all feel the need to assuage your curiosity but let's try not to do it with my things next time.

If they're not back on my bed by the time I get back to my dorm after classes tomorrow, I'm going to take something from everyone and stash it until my items get returned.

And please don't threaten me with hexes we both know I'm not afraid of petty threats.
