Hello, students! I hope everyone's done their homework. I did assign homework, didn't I? Pretty sure I did! Essays on all of the possible uses for zippers, right?

I'm not even sure. I'm not even sure.

The summer sure is hot this year. I really could go swimming right now - wouldn't that just be fantastic?

Why would anyone need to do homework on zippers!?

They're a very fascinating invention. Very useful! Us Muggles and Muggleborns are very creative people.

They're certainly very useful, but how do you write an essay on them? It's just...

You pull the zipper up and down, you can use it to close things...that's it.

You can write an essay on anything if you try hard enough.

But an essay is long! Minimum I've been given is a quarter length of parchment. You can't write that much on zippers. You'd have to, I dunno, make stuff up.

An essay is an essay, and you can just write what needs to be said!

So if some bloke just wrote, "Zippers help you to close openings and keep your stuff inside", you'd consider that an essay?
