He might seem like an interesting choice but he's a rather intelligent and brilliant. Not only that, he is able to quickly answer some things in certain situations that most don't.

Oh yes. Yes, he is very intelligent and very observant, which is precisely why you don't want him to notice you. Once he notices you, it's only a matter of time before he knows everything about you with his deductive reasoning or whatever the Hell he's calling it.
