Unless you mean notice as in getting them to speak to you. In which case an audible connection on mutual interest is the standard means.

But what happens when that person doesn't even notice you even when you're talking to them on a daily basis?

Hm, let's say...what would be your idea of a good conversation between two people? What would you two talk about to get certain ideas about something?

Not exactly my type of thing but I would much rather look at the reasons behind their death such as if it was a natural causes or if there was something more sinister behind it. Decomposition are something that I'm use to but...not the way you described it.
