There's something I've wondering for a while now, I was reading through some books recently about Hogwarts. I want to know, there isn't a giant serpent living here...right? It's just a rumor right?

I heard about that as well, but I'm not sure serpents would be able to survive in most parts of the castle, but there may be some in the lake!

Not that I've heard of, but someone would have found a giant snake by now if it lived in the castle.

I hope not! That'd be a horrible thing to have in the school. Where did you read this? Maybe it's just a joke book, nothing to be taken seriously.

Then there is nothing to worry about miss! It could just be someone's idea of a bad joke. Something to scare the little first years that come in at the start of each term.

Umm...it's not a good idea to wonder too much about bad things miss! It's unhealthy and leaves you paranoid and always second-guessing whether bad things are going to happen! Besides, I'm sure the teachers would do something if there really was a giant snake around the castle.
