Sometimes I'm a bit disappointed I didn't join the Quidditch team this year now that I could. I could do with hitting a few things right now. On the other hand, it's Guy Fawkes Night in a few days. Setting fire to things and watching them explode should be entertaining. Unlike watching paint dry as is the norm.

Why do we even celebrate a day dedicated to a guy who was tortured and questioned before being drawn and quartered for helping plot the assassination of King James I? Seems kinda weird to celebrate something that depressing.

You have to wonder if people would still want to party if they knew the story behind the naming. Then again, most people are idiots.

Cornish Pixies are really lame. They're tricky to handle yeah but if you know the right spell they're easy to control. Honestly I'd prefer to be doing stuff the older students are doing.

Well, nonverbal spells for one. I've read about the theory before but actually being able to do it would be amazing.

It's gotta be worth it though. I mean your opponent wouldn't be able to know which spell to use to counter yours.

Unless they're using non-verbal too.

Everything happens really fast, so you need to think fast and focus at the same time.

I think we're celebrating because he was drawn and quartered before he managed to blow anything up. In a sense, we're burning his effigy to make him suffer through what he was planning to inflict on Parliament in a display of karmic retribution.
