Goodness, I'm not sure how I feel about this survival training! It sounds kind of scary.

I'm not sure I'd ever use it, really, either! I hope not, at least... 

I think I have other problems to deal with this year, anyway. Today I forgot where the restrooms closest to the astronomy tower were, and I was directed to the ladies' room again. Not to mention the fact that my robes are a bit baggy! I could have sworn they fit when I tried them on at Madam Malkin's...

theres centaurs, acromantulas, hippogrifs, thestrals, and supposedly a few unicorns. none of which are particularly good for eating, and it's illegal to kill unicorns, so there probably will not be much hunting anything bigger than squirels, birds, or rabbits.

which is considerably less exciting than hippogrifs.
