I got my Hogwarts letter this morning. Dad and Mum were really happy and started going on about their Houses. Then Sansa opened her gob of a mouth and said I would end up as one of the animals in cages in the creatures class. That bread roll I threw at her shut her up. Merlin, I can't wait to go get my wand. Jon said it's really amazing and that the wand picks you!

I wish first years could play Quidditch and have brooms. I'm still going to ask for a Quidditch broom before school starts.

Young lady, I highly suggest that if you do get a broom from your parents, that you leave it at home. Otherwise, it will be confiscated.

First-years haven't had basic training on a broom. It's potentially unsafe for both the students who want to do the flying and the teachers who have to make sure they come back safely.
