IC Prospective: Sybille Matteris (Marquise Spinneret Mindfang)
Character: Sybille Matteris (Marquise Spinneret Mindfang)
Mun: Amanda
Plot specific: Nope.
It has recently come to my attention that some of my students seem to believe that Charms is a class they do not need to devote attention to. That it is not as important as Transfiguration, or Potions, or Defence Against the Dark Arts, disregarding the fact that the majority of spells are classified as Charms, including many spells that are used in Defence Against the Dark Arts!
Because of the arrogance and idiocy of these students, who don't realize a strong foundation in charms leads to a strength in other classifications of magic, all students enrolled in Charms (which means every single one of you), has to write an eight page paper on what they deem to be the most impressive, important, and useful Charm. This paper is due tomorrow at the beginning of class.
Failure to complete this assignment will result in punishment and docked points. Hopefully no more of you will take this class lightly from here on out.

They asked for it, anyways!!

Don't call me that.
no subject
Awwwwwwww, don't be that way Orphie. ;)
no subject
If you insist on using nicknames, it's Orphaner not Orphie. The latter sounds absurd.
no subject
You liked Orphie when we were younger. And it suits you!
no subject
How does it suit me?
no subject
It's a stupid name, totally fitting of a total fuck up like you!

no subject
You have a history of failure. Maybe not academically, but certainly in other areas of your life.
no subject
And if fuckin' up is what lead me here then that means you fucked up too.
no subject
I came here of my own choice, not from any sense of duty or guilt over a child. Starting teaching after losing my arm doesn't mean I fucked up and got dragged into this.
no subject
Really? It sure seems like it. Far be it from Miss Mindfang to ever accept her own shortcomings.
no subject
As if I even have as many shortcomings as you seem to believe I do.
no subject
You're right. I'm almost certain you have more.
no subject
Well, maybe it could. I don't think you've ever had a substantial relationship in your life! How did you ever have two children? I can't think of any woman who would be able to stand you long enough for you to impregnate them.
Or why she'd even want to carry your spawn.
no subject
I don't recall tellin' you any of this, Sybille.
no subject
I have my ways of gathering information.
no subject
Nice to know you still care.
no subject
It has nothing to do with caring about you! I keep tabs on all of my co-workers.
no subject
Of course it doesn't.
no subject
What, do you think I've been harboring all of this love for you after we split ways?
no subject
no subject
And Orphie, huh? What, you and Professor Donoghue have nicknames for each other or something back when you were ickle firsties, Professor Matteris?
no subject
Something like that. It really is of no concern to you, but feel free to call him Orphie as well. I'm sure he'd like that.
no subject
I'm not even sure if I have that much left after Bolin and I made spitballs...I-I mean, I'm sure he'd much prefer it if you called him that, Professor, and far be it for me to take away your fun.

ahhhhhhh Mindfang! <3
{>There are so many good ones!<}
{>Such cruelty.<}
{>It's a good thing I'm not a student anymore then!<}
Hehehe 8)<33333333

{>Or flying.<}
{>But Charms is much more useful to the average witch or wizard.<}
{>I'm sure you'll make them see the power and beauty of charms soon enough.<}
no subject
I'd feel sorry for my students who won't ever understand how great charms are, but they're idiots.
no subject
{>A professor should naturally think their own class is the best.<}
{>But discounting other classes really is something only an idiot would do.<}
{>I could never argue the usefulness of charms.<}
{>Not a day goes by when I can't find a situation where one would be useful.<}
no subject
If only all witches and wizards would think that way!!
no subject
{>Show them what they're overlooking!<}
{>Start with the children by teaching them right and go on from there.<}
no subject
They'll believe anything you tell them.
no subject
{>But kids do have a lot of trust.<}
{>It's a precious thing.<}
