Man, why does History of Magic always kick my butt? It's not like I don't try to study, it's just boring! How am I supposed to pay attention when it feels like Nap Time? It's not my fault if the professor's so boring that I end up doodling instead of taking notes.

Yeah, they're both pretty bad. I suck at Potions, too, but that's just because it's hard.

Potions is my favourite class, actually. But I could understand why someone would find it hard, I guess!

It's all the measuring and junk that throws me off. It's way too easy to add too much or too little.

Oh my god, I know! And if they just let us nap during History of Magic, we'd be actually be able to focus on our other classes. Like Potions, which is hard -not to mention gross- but at least we're going to be using it later.

Totally! If I had a nap, I'd be super focused in Potions and I'd suck less. This needs to be a thing.

Everyone would suck less at potions if we were allowed to take naps.
I mean, we'd still have to touch all the bile and rat organs and stuff, but there probably wouldn't be as many explosions.

Touching the stuff isn't my problem. It's measuring how much goes in. It's like math. I suck at math.

You're not taking Arithmancy, are you? Because that's just the school tricking you into taking math by giving it a more exciting name.

It's the worst thing ever. Maybe even worse than history.

Oh, no way. I could figure that out a mile away. It totally set off my inner math detector.

I wish I had an inner math detector. That way I wouldn't be stuck spending five whole years taking Arithmancy.

But at least I don't have to take OWLs this year. They were the worst. I mean, I just can't sit and think about numbers for three hours. I'm pretty sure I almost went completely insane.

Five years of math is like torture.

Oh man, I forgot about OWLS! I'm so flipping screwed. Maybe I can balance it out with my other awesome grades.

Oh, you have to take them this year, don't you? That's awful, but I'm pretty sure you can balance out potions and history of magic with your other grades. At least I hope you can because I'm totally screwed if my Divination score didn't make up for my arithmancy score.

I hope so. At least I'll ace defense against the dark arts and care of magical creatures. Everything else is a toss up.

Anyways, I'll help you out. We can draw up an outline or something. History is really easy if you break it down to who did what and when.

I wish. I'm average at it at my best. I usually end up just hoping I'm paired off with someone who knows what they're doing.

Aww, that's too bad. I'm in the same boat. They're my two worst classes by far.

Yeeeah I know that feeling. For me it's Potions and Arithmancy. I'm glad I decided against taking Arithmancy when I came here though.
