I have a feeling I ended up in the wrong school. Anyone want to fill me in, or are the goats a regular thing?

Somewhat, there's some pretty weird stuff, like dragons and goats and things... I mean, I guess goats aren't weird, but students raising goats could be considered weird right?

I feel like I'm in Spain all over again.

Do students raise goats there?

Yeah, probably. You just don't see it in schools much.

I should certainly hope they are not a regular occurrence and that this is a one time... experiment. Because it's quite a poor one.

Huh. Fair enough, I guess. Well, our goats are the best goats.

What're they for anyway? I haven't a feeling they aren't on the list of pets.

A potions assignment, we have to take care of them so we can harvest bezoars from them! I think it's going to be interesting.

You know bezoars come from the stomach right?

Yes, I know they come from the stomach, we're making a potion so that they regurgitate them.

I know most people prefer dissection. Just wanted to make sure you kids knew what you might be getting yourselves into.

I'M NOT KILLING LITTLE NOVA FOR BEZOARS! That's cruel when you can get them a different way!

Harvesting bezoars had to start somewhere. I'm sure somewhere along the line someone came up with a more humane way of getting them out. Saves on getting new goats, too.

Yeah, that's always a plus, right? It'd be horrid to just keep killing them for bezoars.

Never stopped anyone from killing animals for things before.

I don't condone killing anything! Okay, well, I do kill craneflies but they give me the creeps! Unless someone or something is trying to hurt you, there's no reason to kill it, and even then if you can render it harmless, killing it is pointless!

What about for food? And how do you think you got your wand or your other potion ingredients?

Oh, no, don't get me wrong, I love hot dogs and steak and the like. But my general rule of thumb is if you can avoid killing do, if you can't then do what has to be done, but I still don't like it.
