Seems whatever's going around has got people split up into two camps: those who are really put out and those who are having a pretty good time of it. Haven't seen much in the way of a middle ground.

My condolences to everyone who's having a hard time, but you can count me in with the people who're a fair bit chuffed by all this. My limp's barely bothered me all day. Shame it probably won't last.

Well, you'll get no complaints from me. No sir. I've had three different people come up to me and ask about the relative merits of Miles Davis and the Soul Rebels Brass Band. This school's finally coming to its musical senses and I'm going to appreciate every minute of it.

And I have an unlimited supply of chocolate biscuits. There's no bringing me down today.

30 inches seems a bit excessive, yeah. Unless it's incredibly versatile, I can only see writing half that before you get to the point where you're crossing out, "It's a bloody plant, what more do you want me to say?" and hoping the prof doesn't spot it.

Well, you've got a pretty level head and you're a decent bloke. You don't always have to be a hot-headed maniac to have people follow you. Besides, if you ask me, really good leaders know how to take directions - not just give them out.

Just the limp being a bit better, as far as I can tell. If anything else has happened to me, I haven't noticed. And I'm pretty sure I'd notice if I were a good ten years older. Or a girl. Or, hell, both.

What makes you so confident that a person's mind's got anything to do with this? It could be... I don't know, a luck charm gone wonky. Some get the good, some get the bad.

And besides, I don't hear you crowing on about whatever world-shatteringly phenomenal thing that's happened to you. If this were mental, you'd be the first one showing off.

Except that most of the things that have happened aren't by nature 'good' or 'bad' but simply bizarre. And even the 'bad' were 'good' to some above more than simple schadenfreude.

And I was specifically targeting your mind. Your psychosomatic limp is rather ridiculously stubborn. Since when do aliments mimic the man?

I haven't been showing off whatever oddities might have occurred that specifically affect me as there have been none.

And as for my limp, I don't know. I don't know why it's only slightly better when things that are far more spectacular than the full healing of one nobody's irrationally bad leg are happening to other people. If I knew, I wouldn't need a cane, would I?

Oh thank God, you meant - right. I thought you meant thigh-highs or something, instead of the height of the heel. I can never tell with you.

How do you even walk in something like that? I'll be the first to admit I wouldn't mind a half foot couple extra inches in height, but there's a line.

The peopel around me are fluctuating more in the degree of their annoyance but that's all.

I'm sorry that all people who are going through severe changes in their lives are annoying you. It must be such an inconvenience.

I'm sure it's tedious for the people who've woken up to find their parts jumbled up, or people like you who've had nothing happen to them and only have to watch others react dramatically.

But you're talking to someone who can almost walk properly for the first time in over a year. My sympathies are a little preoccupied today.
