Professor Donoghue and I investigated the area; the affects of the spell could still be felt, even three days after the incident. We're of the opinion that it's not your usual kind of curse that can be cast by someone. It's more of an effect, similar to that given off by cursed objects. We suspect the curse is old, given how the spell lingers in the area.
